The Steam Deck will soon have to confront some fierce competition! Indeed, ASUS has decided to enter the portable console market. This new machine, called ROG Ally, was announced last April 1st (and it was not an April Fool's joke).
Among its technical specifications, we can highlight the presence of a 7-inch LCD screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a response time of 5 ms. AMD will be in charge of the processor specially designed for the console. The latter would be about twice as powerful as Valve's. An efficient and silent Intelligent Cooling system will be part of the package.
Finally, it should be noted that there is a desktop mode and the possibility of connecting the ROG Ally to an external GPU. As for the price, ASUS has not yet announced it. The latest rumors suggest $649 for the 512 GB version and $899 for the 1 TB version.
