Tencent acquires Kuro Games (Wuthering Waves)

Kuro Games, a company known for its work on the open-world, free-to-play action-RPG Wuthering Waves, has been bought out.

Tencent has acquired 37% of the developer's shares, making it the majority shareholder since the Chinese giant already owned 24.4%. This acquisition gives Tencent a grand 51.4% stake in the company.

Despite this, the studio will continue to work independently, and has reiterated that its "operational strategy will remain unchanged".

Version 2.0 of Wuthering Waves is still scheduled for release on January 2.
