The Titan Quest 2 devs promise a fair and player-centric experience
, by Quentin
At a time when many games are being criticized for their loot boxes aplenty and pay-to-win mechanics, the devs of Titan Quest 2 are keen to state their vision and state what they will and won't do.
Studio Grimlore Games has said the following:
"With Titan Quest 2, we intend to take a bit of a different approach than with most projects before. We want to involve the community in a typical Steam Early Access manner. Our reasoning: we want Titan Quest 2 to stand its own ground within the ARPG genre and we are convinced that there is only one way to pull it off: swarm intelligence."
The studio is also commited to not include intrusive monetization mechanics that encourage players to spend money in order to get gameplay benefits.
In addition, Grimlore Games wishes to let players to enjoy the game as they wish, all while respecting the license's roots and guaranteeing an uncompromisingly high quality experience.
