The RTX could have the same hardware specifications but remain limited via its BIOS and software

Here's a new rumor from the Chiphell forums that's been making the rounds for several hours now. A well-known leaker claims that NVIDIA's RTX 5090D, the one designed for the Chinese market, may not have any significant hardware diferences from the standard version.
In fact, the company is said to have gone for a limit in performance through software adjusments or even changes to the BIOS.
NVIDIA is said to be focusing mainly on AI functionalities limitations, which should not affect gaming performance, with the potential exception fo DLSS. The leaker also adds that there would be no difference in terms of clock speeds.
In any case, it's best to take this with a grain of salt until NVIDIA says anything on the matter.
