Xbox avatars will disappear on January 9
, by Thibaut
Microsoft has announced the end of a feature that didn't gain any traction at all with the Xbox ecosystem. Gamers could create their own avatar and display it proudly on their profile.
This avatar creator will be gone on January 9, 2025. It will no longer be possible to create or customize your avatar. All cosmetic items purchased so far will be lost, though Microsoft has pledged to refund every purchase. The company cites "low user engagement" as the reason behind this decision.
