Tencent unveils a prototype of handheld with an 11" screen and Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor
, by Quentin
Tencent is turning its attention to the handheld market, a booming sector that is attracting more and more companies with each passing day. The company has presented a prototype called 3D One, still at an experimental stage. Of course, it has no release date or price estimate has yet been communicated. However, it comes with several impressive features.
The 3D One features a massive 11" screen with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. What's more, the machine runs with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, based on Lunar Lake architecture. This CPU features 4 Lion Cove and 4 Skymont cores.
The console also packs 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, as well as an Intel Arc 140V graphics chip based on Xe2-LPG architecture, known for its solid performance in video games. In terms of autonomy, Tencent is banking on a battery with a fast 100W charge (the exact capacity is unknown). Another striking feature of this prototype is the detachable joysticks, which can be replaced by a keyboard.
For the moment, the 3D One remains a conceptual product. We'll have to wait and see if this console ever reaches the market, and at what price.
