Final Fantasy VII Remake director wants to see the trilogy released on other platforms

While Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available on PlayStation and PC, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth remains a PS5 exclusive. Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of what will soon become a trilogy, would like to see it find its way to new platforms.

In an interview with GamesRadar, Hamaguchi spoke at length on the subject.

"In terms of Final Fantasy 7, there's nothing really we can say at the moment, but certainly I do want to bring Final Fantasy 7 and the Remake series to as many players out there as possible."

"So we want to create that situation, that environment, where more players can play the games in future, and we want to look in that direction."

Naoki Hamaguchi also described Xbox platforms as "great ”, suggesting that he would like to see his games on these machines. Of course, only Square Enix will be able to make such a decision.
