Capcom provides the steps to avoid a critical bug in Resident Evil 4

Attention! A bug capable of ruining your progress in the remake of Resident Evil 4 has been spotted by Capcom. Fortunately, the Japanese publisher has indicated how to proceed to work around the problem.
First of all, it should be noted that the bug occurs at the beginning of chapter 12. Once the introductory cinematic is over, Leon obtains an important item (whose nature we will not reveal to avoid spoilers). However, this item may not appear in our hero's inventory if the player uses Leon's knife before the notification of obtaining the item appears. This must appear at the top right of the screen.
Therefore, Capcom recommends not using the knife right away. When the notification appears, the item is stored in the "Key Items and Treasures" section of the inventory. If it does not appear, you will have to reload a game before the beginning of chapter 12. A future update will come to fix the bug.
