According to rumors, Nintendo plans to ship up to 7 million Switch 2 at launch

The Nintendo Switch 2 could very well be one of the biggest console launches in history, if we trust the latest rumors. According to some info shared on Reddit, a user who previously posted a sketch of the console on the Famiboards forum has revealed some details of the launch stock, which has apparently been finalized.
Just in the U.S., the expected volume is said to be 2.5 times that of the first Nintendo switch. If this is also applied worldwide, Nintendo will ship between 6.5 and 7 million units at launch.
These rumors are in line with earlier statements that Nintendo would aim to produce 10 million consoles in its first fiscal year, seeking to avoid the shortages that marred the release of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series S|X.
