The next Fable could be inspired by CD Projekt RED's The Witcher

Apart from the trailer we got back in June, Fable has kept quite a low profile this year, so much so that the game is not expected before the end 2025.

Fortunately, renowned journalist Jez Corden is back with some new details on the subject. He claims to have been able to see some gameplay from an alpha version of Playground Games' title.

According to him, the graphics are "fantastic" and "surprisingly polished" for it being just an alpha. The gameplay is also said to draw heavily from CD Projekt RED work, moreso in the combat system. After all, a combat designer from Fable previously worked at the Polish studio. However, Corden claims that the gameplay isn't just a rehash of The Witcher despite it being similar.

The demo seen by the journalist also shows several types of weapons, including bows, magic and melee weapons.
