PlayStation has found a new head of its mobile division
, by Thibaut
Up until now, Olivier Courtemarch, who joined Sony in April 2022, was co-head of the mobile division of PlayStation Studios.
This month, Olivier Courtemarch was appointed sole head of the subsidiary, dedicated to creating games for smartphones and tablets. Nicola Sebastiani left the position back in June 2023, barely two years after the branch was created.
Courtemarche will have his work cut out for him, as the Japanese giant's mobile division seems to be on its last legs. No hit titles have been launched recently, and PlayStation has even closed the Neon Koi studio, which was dedicated to mobile games.
