NVIDIA releases the DLSS 3.8.10 with only two preset profiles
, by Quentin
The latest DLSS version, 3.8.10, is now available, and it comes with one notable change: only two preset profiles remain. One is designed for Performance, Balanced and Quality modes, and favors image stability, while the other is for Ultra Performance and DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) modes.
Here's a summary of all the presets up until now, those deleted and those who are still there:
-
Deleted: Preset A (designed for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes). Older variant, optimized to reduce ghosting on elements with missing inputs (such as motion vectors).
-
Deleted: Preset B (designed for Ultra Performance mode). Similar to Preset A, but specific to Ultra Performance mode.
-
Deleted: Preset C (designed for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes). Favors the use of current frame information, suitable for fast play.
-
Deleted: Preset D (designed for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes). Similar to Preset E, the latter is generally preferred for its stability.
-
Still in use: Preset E (designed for Performance/Balanced/Quality modes). Default profile for Performance, Balanced and Quality modes, favoring image stability.
-
Still in use: Preset F (designed for Ultra Performance/DLAA modes). Default profile for Ultra Performance and DLAA modes.
