Konami wanted to create a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 to allow young players to discover the saga.

In the year 2025, gamers will have the opportunity to dive into Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Konami has now explained the reason behind this remake of the third opus.

Noriaki Okamura, the franchise's producer, spoke to British magazine Play about the subject.

*One of the main things that prompted us to make this remake was the realization that a large part of the new, younger generation of gamers was no longer familiar with the Metal Gear series.

*In a way, it was our mission, our duty, to keep the series alive for future generations.
