A remaster of the first Dragon Age games is unlikely, according to creative director

While "Dragon Age: The Veilguard" has just been released and has generally been well received by players and press, many fans want one thing: a remastering of the first installments.

Unfortunately, while creative director John Epler would also like to see this happen, he thinks it's unlikely.

According to him, this project would be much harder to carry out than "Mass Effect". However, the studio loves the original games and concludes by reminding us to never say never.

The technology of the first games could be problematic, as they are based on the Eclipse engine, while after the third installment the franchise switched to the Frostbite engine, making the latter more feasible for a remaster. As for "Mass Effect", the fact that the series uses Unreal Engine makes its adaptation to modern technologies much easier.
