Nintendo could be firing around 150 people from the Mario Clubc Co. division
, by Thibaut
Mario Club Co. is Nintendo's Japanese subsidiary for game quality control and bug-fixing for the brand's exclusive titles.
According to the Leakpress website, the manufacturer is planning to lay off approximately 150 of the division's 400 employees from all roles. It seems Nintendo would like to get rid of those who "cause trouble" and missbehave with their colleagues.
It's essential to add that this is no outright dismissal, as Japanese law is very strict on the subject and, as a rule, Japanese companies try to sideline those employees in order to make them leave.
Nintendo has yet to say anything on the subject.
