AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D is still scheduled for launch on November 7. In fact, new images of the product's packaging have found its way to the Internet, and it reinforces the notion that only the 8-core model will be available at first. We got no other box for another Ryzen X3D after all.
AMD has yet to come out and say just how many models will be available on November 7, but the leaks confirm the coming of 2nd generation 3D V-Cache. However, we got no details on these enhancements as of now.
According to various leaks and rumors, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is set to be quite different from the Ryzen 7 9700X, including an increase in TDP from 65W to 120W. The base frequency will be increased by 900 MHz, although the boost frequency may just go down by 300 MHz. Cache would increase from 40MB to 104MB, combining L2, L3 and 3D V-Cache, which would be a major processor upgrade. There's no mention of a Ryzen 9 9950X3D as of now.
