Electronic Arts' football simulator is more popular than ever in the USA. Circana analyst Matt Piscatella has revealed the list of best-selling games in the country for September 2024.
We've got EA Sports FC 25 in first place, followed closely by Astro Bot, Madden NFL 25, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and EA Sports College Football 25. In terms of new releases, there's NBA 2K25 in sixth place, NHL 25 in ninth, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics in 16th and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in 18th.
When it comes to consoles, the PS5 remains first in terms of both sales and dollars generated. The Xbox Series S|X follows closely and the Switch closes the podium.
Another interesting tidbit regarding the PS5 is that, in the U.S. the digital version represents just 18% of all machines, versus the 72% of those with a disc drive. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X accounts for 51% of the consoles, and the Xbox Series S for 49%. It's almost a tie!
Finally, sales of video game hardware, accessories and games in the USA fell by a 4% year-on-year, and consoles collapsed by 44%.
