Ubisoft has reportedly disbanded the team responsible for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Although it was very well received by critics, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was far from the commercial success we all had hoped for. According to the YouTuber Gautoz, Ubisoft has made a radical decision.
Last spring, the French publisher seemingly decided to disband the team responsible for the game. The devs were asked to finish their job on the skins and DLC for the game before moving on. The title's creators were keen to make a sequel and an expansion, but Ubisoft didn't agree.
Gautoz says he's heard nothing but good things about the project, which some of the devs say it's "the best work of their careers". So much so that, in fact, Ubisoft's decision didn't sit well with many of the involved.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was developed by a team of between 80 and 100 people, which is not that many for a Ubisoft title. The creation of the game seems to have given the devs a breather after the trying months on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
