TECNO launches a crowdfunding campaign for the Pocket Go
, by Quentin
TECNO has just launched a new crowdfunding campaign, which has quickly gone to become a great success, raising over 200,000 €. The campaign is for the Pocket Go, a portable console equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor, but also a pack including augmented reality glasses.
Indeed, this machine works solely via external screens or its AR glasses, which offer an immersive visual experience thanks to 0.71-inch LED micro-screens (which would be equivalent to a 215-inch screen seen from six meters away) with 1080p resolution at 60 Hz.
The portable console weighs 550 grams, has a 50 Wh battery, and is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Pocket Go bundle starts at $869 in crowdfunding, but could go up to $1,699 after launch. As for the glasses alone, they cost $349 now, but their final sale price will be $539.
Of course, this is first and foremost a mini PC running Windows 11, capable of running your favorite video games. The Pocket Go may represent a unique alternative on the market, but it remains to be seen whether this concept will find its audience. If you're interested, check out the campaign here.
