Netflix closes one of its video game studios in California

Bad news just keep coming for the video game industry, what with the closure of a studio owned by Netflix Games.
Journalist Stephen Totilo reports that the Southern California-based company has lasted short of two years and was working on a AAA project. Back in April 2023, Joseph Staten, the former head of Halo back at Xbox, joined the studio.
Of course, the entire team has been laid off, but Netflix is reportedly still betting big on video games. The American streaming giant still has several studios dedicated to this field.
