Some key members are about to leave Ubisoft Milan

Last July, Davide Soliani left Ubisoft Milan to found Day 4 Night Studios. The Italian auteur will soon be joined by other former members of Ubisoft's Italian division.

According to an internal announcement, Andrea Babich (Narrative Director), Salvatore Ditrani (Senior 3D Artist), Riccardo Stucchi (Associate Lead Engine Programmer), Matteo Bigatti (Expert Technical Animator), Giacomo Boni (Concept Artist), Andrea Giuseppe Castriotta (Technical Game Designer) and Lorenzo De Simone (Senior Quest Designer) will be leaving in order to join Davide Soliani at the end of October.

This decision would appear to have been taken mainly because Ubisoft wants to pun an end to teleworking for employees at all its studios worldwide. Given the very high cost of living in Milan, many developers had moved out of the city while continuing to work from home as a way of saving money and building projects in their private lives. This will soon no longer be possible.

Strikes against this forced return to the office are taking place this Thursday, October 17, at Ubisoft Milan, Montpellier, Annecy, Lyon and Paris.
