The acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft is taking shape! Sony is in the crosshairs of the US Congress for its practi

The story of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is starting to tilt in favor of the American manufacturer. Recently, the CMA (the British competition authority) partially approved the acquisition in its latest provisional opinion. It believes that even if Call of Duty were to become exclusive to Xbox, the merger would not have a significant impact on competition.
This opinion is shared by the Japan Fair Trade Commission, which gave exactly the same opinion this week. Previously estimated at 50%, the chances of the acquisition being completed have increased to 70%, according to CitiBank.
Microsoft can even rub its hands together as Sony has just received a backlash from the US Congress. Several members of the institution, including Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell, believe that PlayStation is exhibiting anti-competitive behavior in Japan. By signing exclusives with local publishers, Sony is preventing Xbox from establishing a lasting presence in the Japanese market. US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo has been notified.
