Halo Infinite 2 was reportedly in development but ended up cancelled

There have been a lot of changes at the former 343 Industries, starting with the name, now Halo Stuidos.

According to insider Rebs Gaming, the company was working on Halo Infinite 2 until the end of 2022 before cancelling it. Indeed, the change of direction and the switch to Unreal Engine 5 resulted in the game disappearing. The Splispace Engine is now a thing of the past.

Add to this the fact that 343 Industries was hit by layoffs in January 2023, with the entire creative team being fired. Now, it remains to be seen whether the next game will be Halo Infinite 2 running on Unreal Engine 5 or a brand new game.
