The Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake won't have a direct successor
, by Quentin
Recent news from Intel has clarified that the Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake won't have more than 8 cores, and that it there won't be a successor to it.
Indeed, this series will be followed by the Panther Lake, which will have a totally different architecture and is not intended to take over from Lunar Lake. For example, unlike Lunar Lake, the Panther Lake-U won't feature MoP (Memory on the Package), which is really energy-efficient.
As for cores, one leaker states that there won't be a more powerful “Lunar Lake” with 6P+8LP or 8P+8LP configurations. The only available configuration will be 4P+4LP.
