Silent Hill 2 gets a launch trailer and top scores

The gloomy town of Silent Hill will reopen its doors on October 8 with a remake of the second entry. Also, Konami has released one last trailer.

What's more, the press has given its verdict, and it's fair to say that Bloober Team has done a great job here, with a Metacritic average of 87% on PS5 (49 reviews) and 88% on PC (5 reviews). On OpenCritic, the current score is 88%.

Reviewers focus on the game's great art style, the scary ambience of it all, a masterful soundtrack and some great length for the genre. Among the few negatives, we can mention a certain repetitiveness copuled with a relatively basic gameplay and somewhat stiff animations.
