With the imminent release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, scheduled for November 7, Sony has announced that the console will support 40 to 50 enhanced games at launch.
This includes both external and internal developed games, allowing studios to offer a great experience with both better graphics and 60 FPS.
The company also states that games not specifically optimized for the mid-gen refresh will also be enhanced by the Game Boost mode. This will be the case for PlayStation 4 games too, thanks to the Image Quality Boost that goes for an upscaling, though without PSSR.
Finally, the PS VR2 will also work better, with more stable performance. Sony even plans to use PSSR tech to further enhance the experience.
