Assassin's Creed Shadows was reportedly delayed following the disappointing launch of Star Wars Outlaws
, by Thibaut
You should know by now that Assassin's Creed Shadows has been delayed from next month to February 14, 2025.
According to insider Gaming, this delay was mainly because of the disappointing sales of Star Wars Outlaws. The game has just sold a million copies so far, which has prompted Ubisoft to panic. The French company has since decided to release its games day one on Steam.
Alas, this was not the only reason, as the devs had been calling for this delay for several months now. The game was delayed to do some "cultural" and "historical" changes to the game, like the architecture of some buildings and Yasuke. Despite all the criticism and controversy, the latter won't be removed from the game.
Finally, the delay has also a lot to do with certain bugs. Assassin's Creed Shadows just isn't ready to launch the following november. Some gameplay elements had been changed without the necessary time to be included in the game.
