Nintendo has registered a new, unknown peripheral

While we're almost all waiting for some news on the Switch 2, Nintendo is hard at work on another device that got registered on the Federal Communications Commision.
The descrption on the FCC site states that it's not a console or a battery-powered device. The object in question connects only via USB-C and boasts 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi compatibility. This is a "wireless device".
It's fair to assume that we're looking at a device that connects to the Switch or Nintendo's next console.
