AMD could launch the Ryzen 200 processors with Zen 4 architecture by the end of the year
, by Quentin
Recent rumors point to the launch of a new series of precessors from AMD. These would be a revision of old ones, based on the Zen 4 architecture but without the AI functions for these models.
Indeed, they would lack the 45 TOPS required to get Microsoft Copilot+ certification, and would go for an older processor, the XDNA1.
This is how AMD's next range could look like:
- Ryzen 7040: Phoenix Zen 4, RDNA3 and XDNA1
- Ryzen 8040: Hawk Point Zen 4, RDNA3 and XDNA1
- Ryzen 200: Hawk Point Refresh Zen 4, RDNA3 and XDNA1
- Ryzen AI 300: Strix Point Zen 5/c, RDNA3.5 and XDNA2
If the leaks are to be believed, the 200 series could launch before the year ends.
