PlayStation reiterates that its core market will remain consoles

Over the years, Sony Interactive Entertainment has branched and conquered new platforms, mainly PCs, but also mobile devices.

However, in an interview with Nikkei, Hideaki Nishino, President of SIE's Platform Business Group, revealed, not surprisingly, that PlayStation's primary target remains the console market.

"I think that on mobile devices, many games display ads, and PCs are difficult to configure. Whereas with PlayStation, as soon as you turn it on, you can immediately enjoy the content you've purchased."

"The PlayStation Store also offers an intuitive experience, as products are presented in a way that makes them easy to read."

"We're trying to increase our share of the overall market by developing content for PCs too. But there's no doubt that consoles will remain at the heart of our business, but by offering titles for platforms other than consoles, we'll reach a wider range of customers."
