Pocketpair isn't sure it wants to turn Palworld into a free-to-play GAAS

Takuro Mizobe, Pocketpair's CEO, was asked by the Japanese website ASCII on the direction to take for the future of Palworld, and it seems he is undecisive.

Indeed, the Japanese media outlet asked him wheter a switch to free-to-play and a GAAS model might be on the cards. This was his answer.

"To be honest, we haven't decided anything yet. From a purely commercial point of view, making it a service game would extend its lifespan and make it more stable in terms of profitability. However, the game wasn't originally designed for this approach, so there would be many challenges involved in taking it down the path of a service game “.

He adds that moving to a free-to-play business model would be difficult now, given that many players have already paid for Palworld.
