Days Gone director criticizes Bend Studio for using the IP to promote Astro Bot

Even though Days Gone has sold over 9 million copies since its release back in 2019, Sony has decided not to do a sequel to the game. This decision led to the departure of the two personalities behind the franchise.

In fact, John Garvin, creative director of Days Gone, was quick to ramble against a tweet published by Bend Studio to celebrate the release of Astro Bot, showing Deacon St. John, the survival game's hero, in a cartoonish style. This clearly didn't sit well with Gavin at all.

"Kinda sad that Deek has been reduced to promoting other games … well done Bend Studio! Way to protect your legacy!"
