The next major update for Helldivers 2 is coming out on September 17

There has been criticism aplenty for Helldivers 2 for several weeks now. On Steam, reviews have been mostly negative over the past month, but Arrowhead Game Studios wants to correct course.

In a recent article, the studio claims it has heard players' complaints and announces that there's a new major update coming on September 17, all with the aim to fix a few bugs and bring better balancing.

For example, anti-tank weapons, armor values and penetration, and enemies will be completely reworked. Over 30 weapons and stratagems will be revised. Some opponents will become more rewarding to kill, with reduced armor values. Weapons such as the heavy machine gun and automatic cannon will become more effective.
