PlayStation prepares for its 30th anniversary

December 3, 1994 market the launch of the very first PlayStation, so yeah, that means that, in 2024, the Japanese company will celebrate its 30th anniversary!
Of course, the Japanese company has plenty in store for us for its birthday. For starters, PS4 and PS5 players will have access to the "My First GT" event during the festive season, a free experience taking place in Gran Turismo 7, featuring nostalgia-focused cars and tracks.
OSTs will be available on streaming services such as Amazon Music and Apple Music. From October to January, it will be possible to listen to music from games such as God of War, God of War II, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Twisted Metal, Starhawk and Unit 13. A Spotify playlist is available now.
Let's move on to Shapes of Play, a merchandising line by the PlayStation console design team, including a board game, magnetic blocks and battery recharging stations. All will be sold in December in eligible countries on direct.playstation.com.
Finally, there will be a free multiplayer weekend on September 21-22, as well as tournaments on the same weekend. Those who participate will get exclusive avatars.
