Acer made a number of hardware announcements at IFA 2024 that may be of interest to some. In addition to the Nitro Blaze 7 handheld console, the Taiwanese company also announced two new PC monitors.
Let's start with the Acer Predator XB273U F5, featuring a 27" panel with a 2560 x 1440 definition and a refresh rate of up to 360 Hz. Response time is estimated at 0.5/1 ms. It's also one of the few monitors compatible with NVIDIA's G-Sync Pulsar technology, which offers up to four times smoother motion than conventional displays. What's more, it features both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports.
The second is the Acer Predator XB273K V5, featuring a 27" IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160p resolution. It's compatible with AMD's FreeSync Premium to minimize tearing. The refresh rate is up to 160 Hz for this one, and the response time is 0.5 ms. We also got HDR. That said, the speakers are only 2 W, compared with the 5 W of the Predator XB273U F5.
The latter has no release date yet, but the Predator XB273K V5 is expected in Q4 2024.
