Naoki Yoshida wants to bring Final Fantasy XIV to as many devices as possible

While Final Fantasy XIV was available only on PC and PlayStation at first, the game recently launched on Xbox. And if we are to believe Naoki Yoshida, the MMORPG won't stop there.

This is what the man himself had to say about this when interviewed by GameReactor about a possible port of the game to Nintendo platforms (and in particular to the Switch 2).

"I'm sure that all of the media and our players probably suspecting they really want to have our game release on Nintendo's consoles, but the concept that we have for Final Fantasy XIV is to release our game on as many devices as possible."

"So looking towards achieving that goal. We are working towards, making progress and we are having discussions. So I hope that everyone can look forward to news in the time to come."

It's safe to assume that a title as ambitious as Final Fantasy XIV couldn't run that well on the current Switch, but the Japanese company's future machine could do the trick.
