Black Myth: Wukong's possible PS5 exclusivity isn't clear yet

It's been very difficult to get a clear picture of the whole affair of the hypothetical console exclusivity for Black Myth: Wukong on PS5. According to Forbes journalist Paul Tassi and IGN, there's a contract between Sony and Game Science preventing the game from being released on Xbox Series.

However, other insiders disagree. Well-known insider Jeff Grubb states that he hasn't heard anything about such exclusivity. Insider Shpeshal_Nick on X.com agrees, and according to him, Sony only paid for a PS5 port and nothing more.

Last but not least, eXtas1s, who had argued that the delay for the Xbox Series was due to a memory leak, stands by his words. He states that there's no such thing as "secret exclusives".

Indeed, in trailers for games such as Silent Hill 2 or even Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, there's always a note at the end that explains that the game is exclusive to the platform, and this is not the case for Black Myth: Wukong.
