Intel confirms a September release for Xeon 6 CPUs
, by Quentin
It's finally official: Intel's next-generation Xeon 6 processors are due in September, and there will be an event by the company to mark the release.
It will focus on the "Graniet Rapids" and "Sierra Forest" CPUs, both part of the same Xeon 6 range. The "Granite Rapids" feature up to 128 cores (P-cores, mind you) using the Redwood Cove architecture, while the "Sierra Forest" will come with 288 cores, with the brand's first architecture based entirely on E-cores.
