Twitch has laid off 400 people

It's a very sad week for Twitch employees. On Monday, the US company laid off around 400 people. A decision that was obviously described as "difficult" by Dan Clancy, Twitch's new CEO.

"Like many companies, our business has been affected by the current macroeconomic environment, and user and revenue growth has not met our expectations. To manage our business sustainably, we have made the very difficult decision to reduce the size of our workforce," said Clancy.

At the same time, Twitch's owner, the giant Amazon, has laid off a total of 9,000 employees across all its divisions.
