NVIDIA could launch the RTX 4070 GDDR6 as early as August 20

As we told you barely a week ago, NVIDIA could release a new version of the RTX 4070, just going with GDDR6 instead of GDDR6X to make up for the current shortage.

This new GPU could launch as early as August 20 and would do so with the following technical specifications: an AD104-251, 5888 CUDA cores, 12 GB VRAM, as well as GDDR6 at 20 GB/s instead of GDDR6X at 21 GB/s.

Performance should be in the same ballpark as the current version, and be cheaper too.
