Mobile games studio Jam City lays off around 85 employees

Known for titles such as Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Disney Frozen Adventures and Jurassic World Alive, the Jam City studio has announced lay-offs of 10% of its workforce.

Around 85 people have left the American company specialized in mobile games. It's got teams all around the world, with staff in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Montreal and Montvideo.

While the company's CEO Josh Yguado notes improvements over last year, he also points out that this won't be enough, and that the curve won't be reversed until the second half of 2025.

Back in 2022, Jam City already fired 200 people.
