Last December, Naughty Dog announced they had cancelled the multiplayer game based on The Last of Us. At the time, the American company explained that they didn't want to commit all their resources to a live service game and leave behind single-player experiences.
Gamers applauded this decision, which seems to have been prompted by an exchange between Naughty Dog and Bungie executives. At least, that's what journalist Jason Schreier claims.
According to the journalist, the studio behind Destiny 2 warned Naughty Dog about going too far with a GAAS, which may have led in turn to the cancellation of The Last of Us Online.
