According to the creator, Braid Anniversary Edition is a total commercial failure

Last May, the excellent Braid got an Anniversary Edition with bonus content, like 15 hours of commentary and better graphics.

Sadly, the game has failed to make ends meet. During a stream, director Jonathan Blow spoke at length about the title's sales. While it sold better that some older re-releases, he said it still "sold like dog shit", adding that it's too little for the company to keep working as is. The future of the studio is said to be "uncertain".

On Steam, Braid, Anniversary Edition only reached a peak of 570 simultaneous players at launch.
