, by Quentin
Revival time! ColecoVision has announced the release of a new arcade unit featuring 40 classics such as Donkey Kong, Zaxxon and Venture. This product, developed by American Gear, retains the vintage charm of the iconic 1982 machine while bringing it up to date in terms of technologies.
Although it comes with a few pre-installed games, it being open source means you can add ROMs from various consoles to make it more complete and so you can enjoy more games.
It's made from white birch wood in Utah, USA, and the company promises a premium feel. The machine features high-quality joysticks and buttons and a 32" HD screen for the best experience possible.
The ColecoVision arcade unit is already available at $2,300.
