Capcom remains confident despite poorer financial results for last quarter
, by Thibaut
The Japanese publisher has announced its financial results for the latest quarter ending June 30, 2024. Net sales have fallen by 32.5% and operating income by 46.4% when compared to last year's.
Capcom links this decline to the launch of Street Fighter 6, which boosted the company's performance in June 2023. Despite this, the Japanese company remains confident of achieving its profit forecast for the current fiscal year, ending on March 31, 2025.
We also learn that the Resident Evil franchise has sold 160 million copies, and that Village is the only entry in the series to reach 10 million copies in just three years. Street Fighter has now sold 55 million copies and Monster Hunter** 103 million.
Meanwhile, Mega Man has sold 42 million units, Devil May Cry 32 million, Dead Rising 17 million and Dragon's Dogma 12 million.
