, by Quentin
Just a few hours ago, we told you about a post on X.com by Tom Henderson, and now the famous insider has gone into more detail about it in an article. In it, he states that, despite what we might have thought with his tweet, he didn't want to imply that the console couldn't come out later this year.
He explains that devs can send their games optimized for the PS5 Pro as early as July 30, a date set 18 months ago. He also specifies that games released after Septemeber 15 must support the Pro model's enhancements. In addition, he says that he had access to documents in mind-2023 that spoke of a release during the second half of November 2024, and that there has been nothing suggesting a delay or cancellation up to now.
Finally, he states that the announcement for the PlayStation 5 Pro could be similar to that the PlayStation 4 Pro, i.e. in September, After all, Sony will be at Tokyo Game Show that same month, a first in five years, which could very well mean something... Or not. We'll have to wait to find out.
