Nintendo's horror game Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club releases on August 29

After a short teaser on social networks and YouTube, Nintendo has decided to show more of Emio - The Smiling Man.

The game is directed by Yoshio Sakamoto and part of the Famicom Detective Club series. It's the third entry in the franchise, which began back in 1998 on the NES. The first two entries have seen remakes on the Switch back in 2021.

The story of this new episode is based on an urban legend about a man who appears in front of crying girls. He then slips a paper bag bearing a smile over their heads in exchange for their lives. The player must solve this mystery.

So, in the end, it's not a horror game, but rather a thriller or mistery one.
