A few games for a great summer!

Now that we're right in the middle of summer, it's the ideal time to get out and enjoy... But as it's too hot, why not go for a little gaming to have fun with family, friends or your partner? Here's a small selection of great games that you should play or even replay this summer.

KeyWe

We're starting with a game we really like, KeyWe! This is a co-op puzzle game that has you take control of a kiwi - not the fruit, of course, but the cute animal. You'll have to send mail from your very own post office by jumping on various keys and facing the obstacles that may arise during the game.

If this is your kind of experience, try Overcooked! These games will put your nerves to the test and even create a few quarrels with others, but are great fun still.

Ultimate Chicken Horse

If platform games are you thing, we may have something for you. Ultimate Chicken Horse is the real thing for evenings with friends. Each player takes on the role of an animal and has to get from point A to point B. So far so good.

However, each of you will have to place different objects to make the level's progression more difficult and prevent the others from reaching the end of the line. Beware: if the course becomes impossible and no one completes the level, everyone loses. It's all in gauging how mean you can be, and that can sometimes lead to real fails and laughs.

Party Animals

If Gang Beasts ring a bell, we have something more or less in the same vein for this summer: Party Animals. It's a game pretty similar to the aforementioned one, but with plenty of mini-games intertwined and really cute animals.

We just had to include it in this selection, as it's the perfect thing for this time of the year.

Super Mario Sunshine

Don't worry, we didn't forget single-player experiences! From our point of view, Super Mario Sunshine is the ultimate single-player adventure for summer, provided you like the moustachioed plumber.

Originally released on the GameCube, this entry came back for the Nintendo Switch with the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, which was only sold for a certain period of time before being taken off the shelves. Today, you can still find it in just about anywhere, in a second-hand bin for example. And for the price of admission, you can enjoy Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy too.

Subnautica

Here's a game that caused quite a stir when it was released. It is quite simply incredible. A brilliant blend of survival and exploration, Subnautica lets you discover the beauty and, above all, the dangers of the deep sea.

If summer's getting a little too hot for you, why not cool off with its standalone, Below Zero? It takes you to an icy region of planet 4546B and adds between 10 and 20 hours of new content, as well as additional biomes and new creatures.

It features a great setting and the art direction at display here is quite colorful and distinctive. Subnautica is just a must for some summer fun.
