Axis Studio, a visual effects and animation company, is cutting 162 jobs

Not that well known to the general public, Axis Studio is an animation and special effects company that has worked on titles such as Destiny, Halo, League of Legends and Dead Island. For example, we owe them te first trailer for Dead Island 2.

Alas, the industry is going through dark times, and the BBC has stated that the Scottish firm founded in 2000 has cut 162 jobs. Only four people will remain in the company in order to proceed with the closure of Axis Studio.

All projects have been cancelled, of course.
