Before the official release of NVIDIA's RTX 4070 with the models we know, the company had several configurations in the pipeline, Today, one of these configurations, which ended up in the backburner, is back in the news via a Chinese reseller, Goofish.
It features an RTX 4070 with 10 GB of VRAM, 21 GB/s G6X arrays and an AD104-275 GPU with 7168 cores. This matches the specifications of the RTX 4070 Super, released a year after the original models. Clock speeds are listed at 2355 MHz base and 2520 MHz boost. The number of cores is also 22% higher than that of the original RTX 4070.
This shows that NVIDIA plans many configurations before release, and that some can change right up to the last moment.
